Josef Stöger is an artist and architect based in London. Born in Seattle to two biology professors, his early immersion in science and natural systems laid the foundation for a practice rooted in both precision and reverence. He graduated with distinction from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL — where his research into ceramic 3D printing was awarded the Sir Andrew Taylor Prize.
Josef’s work explores the intersection of digital craft, ecological thinking, and sculptural form. Drawing from architecture, nature, and computation, he creates objects and environments that reintroduce tactility, memory, and presence into the built environment. At the heart of it all is a single material: London clay — reclaimed, reimagined, and reshaped to tell new stories.
The StögerHaus team is made up from qualified architects with experience on large-scale commercial projects, computational designers, sustainable material experts and digital clay fabricators.
